Dr. Simić Stanojević is a sexual health researcher and certified recreational therapist whose work focuses on reducing sexual health disparities, particularly among people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and women. Her research aims to improve sexual health outcomes by developing tailored, sex-positive interventions, as well as educational and training programs for professionals serving these populations, particularly allied health professionals and recreational therapists. Her scholarly interests also include exploring sexual behavior through the lens of leisure philosophy, offering a comprehensive perspective on the subject. Grounded in human rights principles and reproductive and intimate justice, Dr. Simić Stanojević’s work is informed by over a decade of activism within non-governmental organizations.
